One of the most popular holiday and tourist destinations on the Lithuanian seaside.

The Amber Museum Palace is surrounded by Palanga's Birutė Park, which was started at the end of the 19th century when the palace was built. Today, it is one of the most beautiful, richest and best managed parks in Lithuania. It was established on the territory of the sacred Birutė Forest and for a long time was called Birutė Park by the locals.

The Palanga Amber Museum is housed in the palace of the Counts Tiškevičius, built at the end of the 19th century. The exposition is constantly updated with unique archaeological finds, amber inlays and other valuable exhibits. It is also possible to see and get acquainted with fragments of the interiors of the palace of the Counts of Tiškevičius from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, as well as with the everyday life of the nobility of that time.

The park features the largest trampoline park in Lithuania, a go-kart track, carousels, a rope course in the trees, obstacle courses and various challenge courses. The park is open only in high season.

Takas prasideda nuo Olando kepurės ir driekiasi Baltijos pajūriu. Pažintinis takas yra 2,8 kilometrų ilgio, o skardis kuriuo vaikščiosite – 15 metrų aukštyje. Čia atsiveria įspūdingi gamtos vaizdai: smėlio skardžiai, jų kraštai apraizgyti medžiais, o už jų – ošianti jūra.

The almost 700 square metre garden features 170 species of plants that grow in the forests of India, Indonesia, Brazil, the deserts of Africa and Mexico.

The alley, which starts at the intersection with S. Darius and S. Girėno Street, attracts those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of J. Basanavičiaus Street. The alley is characterised by its tranquillity, the surrounding vegetation and the sound of the sea. This makes it a good place for slow walks.

Along the trail, you can visit the Palanga Concert Hall and take part in various events. Grafų Tiškevičių Avenue is also decorated with original retro-style chandeliers, pavement and small architecture. Another highlight of the alley is the restored carved historical gate at Kęstučio Street.

The neo-gothic Palanga Church of the Holy Cross, built in the early 14th century. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Palanga is distinguished by its grandeur and beauty. Inside, there is a pulpit and three artistic altars decorated with marble bas-reliefs and a 17th century painting of the Virgin Mary.

At the Play Park, located at the intersection of Naglio Avenue and Šermukšnių Street, children can enjoy free entertainment: colourful sea-themed play equipment up to 7 metres high, a variety of merry-go-rounds, swings and merry-go-rounds for children of all ages.

The Palanga Regional Museum is housed in a historic villa built in 1898, with a unique resort architecture that has no analogues in Lithuania.

Palanga is home to the Lithuanian Fairy Tales Park, which entices visitors not only with its cosy environment and playful sculptures, but also with its unconventional solutions - you can not only "feel" fairy tales, but also hear them.

The park features 25 scaled-down versions of some of the world's greatest architectural wonders, from London's Tower Bridge and the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, to the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal, among others. It also holds the title of the largest flower park.

The park, surrounded by nature, is designed for the whole family: more than 50 life-size dinosaurs from prehistory, a 5D cinema, carousels, a mirror maze, water bikes, trampolines, a mini zoo, a mustard oasis and much more. The park is only open in high season.

The garden has an impressive collection of bonsai, a rock garden with sakura and ponds, and exceptional vegetation. We particularly recommend visiting during the pink sakura blossom season.

Sculptures handed over by the Lithuanian Art Museum to the care of Palanga Municipality. In the summer, this place becomes a place of attraction for those who like to spend a quiet holiday with their families, children or friends.

The Samogitian Cave with a palaeoastronomical observatory, located on a dune in Šventoji, is a place worth a visit for those interested in history and those wishing to visit significant cultural heritage sites.

To the north of the city centre, along Naglis Avenue, you will see the carved name "Naglis Hill". The mountain is actually a 7-metre-high dune and is considered one of the most mysterious places in Palanga. It is a place for pleasant walks, where the sound of the sea and the pine trees can be heard and the secrets of millennia lie deep beneath the white sand.

The museum's narrative devotes a lot of space to Šliūpas' activities in the USA, where he lived and worked for more than three decades. The museum's exhibition presents Šliūpas' intense, eventful political, public and private life.

The museum gives a vivid account of the difficult but persistent struggle to win the name of Lithuania as an independent state at any cost and to always remain a Lithuanian inside.

Vienu unikaliausių Lietuvos išeivijos kūrėjų laikomas Antanas Mončys prieš mirtį savo kūrinius bei didelę asmeninių daiktų kolekciją atidavė Palangos miestui. Čia, po ilgo bei sudėtingo proceso, buvo įkurti jų saugojimui ir ekspozicijai skirti namai – muziejus. A private and extensive collection of up to 2000 puppy figurines of a wide variety of puppies will surprise you with their uniqueness and rainbow of colours. In addition to the four-legged ones, you will see multi-faceted paintings and carvings of different birds from dozens of countries.
