Palanga swimming pool and its spaces - what will you find when you arrive?
Perhaps the most popular is the wellness area of the Palanga swimming pool, which features saunas, recreational pools for children and adults, whirlpools and changing rooms. There are several different pools - a baby pool, then a separate pool with safe water activities for older children and massage pools for adults. This area also has saunas: two steam baths and one sauna with a natural Himalayan salt wall. There is also a wellness treatment room where various massages are available.

In addition to the wellness area, there is a separate pool area for sports and training. There are eight 25-metre swimming lanes, as well as shorter lanes for children's training.
The Palanga swimming pool has another part of the complex - a public sauna. This is a space with a separate entrance, where you can relax in the sauna, and where various different sauna programmes (such as aromatherapy and other multi-hour sauna programmes) are organised.
There is a pool bar where you can buy drinks and snacks.
Visiting with children
The Palanga pool is suitable for children: there is a separate pool for babies, and another 70 cm deep warmer pool for older children nearby. Children can relax in the jacuzzi, saunas or enjoy the water cascades.
However, we would also like to share the observation that some people who have visited the Palanga swimming pool with their children say that they found the water in the children's pools too cold.

What will you find at the Palanga swimming pool?
The complex consists of three parts. The wellness area features recreational pools for adults and children, a baby pool, a whirlpool, two steam rooms, a sauna with a natural Himalayan salt wall, and a treatment room. The sports area features eight 25-meter swimming lanes and shorter lanes for children’s training. The third area is a public sauna with a separate entrance. The complex also has a bar.
Is the Palanga pool suitable for children?
Yes. There is a separate pool for infants, and next to it—a warmer pool 70 cm deep for older children, water cascades, and a whirlpool. Two things are worth noting: some visitors mention that the water in the children’s pools felt a bit chilly, and the children’s and adults’ areas aren’t separated within the complex.
When is the Palanga pool least crowded?
Most visitors come on weekends and holidays during the cold season—at those times, the hot tub and saunas may be crowded, and it may be harder to find an available lounger. Visitor numbers are not regulated. It’s quietest on weekdays and Sunday evenings. If you’re traveling with your family during school breaks, it’s a good idea to call the front desk in advance to check on occupancy.
Is the Palanga pool suitable for a relaxing spa getaway?
The adult and children's areas in the complex are not separated, so the atmosphere here is livelier and noisier than at a typical spa. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, you should opt for a private space—we offer our guests a private sauna with a whirlpool tub in the apartments.
Do I need to register in advance?
No advance registration is required. However, if you are planning a visit on holidays or during school breaks and are concerned about large crowds, we recommend calling to inquire about both operating hours (if you’re visiting on holidays) and the availability of the wellness area. You can reach us by phone at +370 687 44267.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices of the Palanga swimming pool.
Where is the Palanga swimming pool, and where can I park my car?
The swimming pool is located at 23 Kretingos Street in Palanga. There is a free parking lot next to the main entrance.
Is it worth going to the pool on a rainy day?
Yes—it’s one of the most comfortable indoor spaces in Palanga, perfect for when the weather turns cold. You’ll find more ideas for bad weather in the overview Things to Do in Palanga in Winter and During the Off-Season.
Additional tips
The Palanga swimming pool is particularly popular during cold season weekends and holidays, and there is no regulation on the number of visitors - you may feel less comfortable visiting the pool during this period. In such cases, there is a lack of space in the jacuzzi and saunas, and it's harder to find available sunbeds. Our recommendation is to visit this pool on a weekday or Sunday evening if you can, as these are usually less crowded times. If you are travelling with your family, we recommend that you contact the management before you arrive to check availability, especially if you are staying during the school holidays.
The complex does not have separate adult and children's areas, so it has a livelier, noisier atmosphere. For those looking for a quiet spa break, this is worth considering.
