Enjoy a cosy, winter family holiday right by the sea: free children's facilities, family-friendly apartments, integrated kitchen areas with all necessary kitchen utensils, free cots and high chairs. And here are some ideas for things to do at the seaside in winter, beyond the Palanga Stint Festival and other events in Palanga:
- Nature is different in winter, so places you might normally visit in the warm season will be different in winter. Visit Birutė Park, Visit the Fairytale Park, with interactive activities for the little ones, and take a stroll through the sculpture park. Of course, make time for a walk along the seaside and go amber-hunting at the same time: the winds stir up the seabed and you're much more likely to find amber.
- Take a trip around Palanga too - Unique natural sites offer spectacular winter landscapes. On arrival at Dutch caps or by descending a nearby Litorina nature trail you will see high cliffs, unusual vegetation and historical sites that are not typical of Lithuanian nature.
- Winter is the best time to do the things you don't usually have time to do in summer - Visit seaside museums, of which there are many in Palanga. The modernised Palanga Resort Museum always has educational activities, engaging talks and stories, and film screenings. In the Dog Museum, you can even see four-legged animals from Alaska and Cuba, as well as exhibits made of coral, amber and confectionery, of which there are almost 2000. In the Palanga Tourism Information Centre you will find separate children's areas, relaxation areas, educational activities and an interactive area with 3D films, photo waves and virtual time travel. At the Palanga Amber Museum, you can use the museum's tablets for free, which include an audio guide to the life of Count Tiškevičius.
- After long walks and winter fun in the fresh air, warm up and relax in the sauna with jacuzzi. Enjoy private, family-only time at the spawhere family time will not be disturbed by the hustle and bustle of the neighbourhood. You'll enjoy fragrant tea, relaxation and time together undisturbed.
