Here are some useful insights and tips on what to know before you visit and what to expect when you arrive at the Palanga swimming pool.

Palanga swimming pool is located at Kretingos g. 23, Palanga. There is a car park at the main entrance.

The Palanga swimming pool has several different spaces and opening hours:

• The sports pool is open: I: 12-22 hours; II-V: 7-22 hours; VI: 9-22 hours; VII: 9-21 hours
• Wellness area (with swimming pools, saunas and other facilities).: I: 12-22 h; II-VI: 10-22 h; VII: 10-21 h.
• Public baths: IV: 18-22 h; V: 18-22 h.

Please note: The wellness area is closed to customers 1 hour before closing time.

Perhaps the most popular is the wellness area of the Palanga swimming pool, which features saunas, recreational pools for children and adults, whirlpools and changing rooms. There are several different pools - a baby pool, then a separate pool with safe water activities for older children and massage pools for adults. This area also has saunas: two steam baths and one sauna with a natural Himalayan salt wall. There is also a wellness treatment room where various massages are available.

In addition to the wellness area, there is a separate pool area for sports and training. There are eight 25-metre swimming lanes, as well as shorter lanes for children's training.

The Palanga swimming pool has another part of the complex - a public sauna. This is a space with a separate entrance, where you can relax in the sauna, and where various different sauna programmes (such as aromatherapy and other multi-hour sauna programmes) are organised.

There is a pool bar where you can buy drinks and snacks.

The Palanga pool is suitable for children: there is a separate pool for babies, and another 70 cm deep warmer pool for older children nearby. Children can relax in the jacuzzi, saunas or enjoy the water cascades. 

However, we would also like to share the observation that some people who have visited the Palanga swimming pool with their children say that they found the water in the children's pools too cold.

The Palanga swimming pool is particularly popular during cold season weekends and holidays, and there is no regulation on the number of visitors - you may feel less comfortable visiting the pool during this period. In such cases, there is a lack of space in the jacuzzi and saunas, and it's harder to find available sunbeds. Our recommendation is to visit this pool on a weekday or Sunday evening if you can, as these are usually less crowded times. If you are travelling with your family, we recommend that you contact the management before you arrive to check availability, especially if you are staying during the school holidays.

The complex does not have separate adult and children's areas, so it has a livelier, noisier atmosphere. For those looking for a quiet spa break, this is worth considering.
