Advent workshop for families "We create our own miracles"
The Jonas Šliūpas Museum in Palanga invites you to start your Christmas waiting with creative joy. During the workshop "We create our own miracles" we will invite you to make straw ornaments for the Christmas tree, decorate wreaths, and make scented beeswax candles. We will talk about the origins of the Advent wreath, the traditions and meaning of tying, the symbolism of wreath candles in Lithuania and other countries. The workshop is ideal for both children and adults. All the tools needed for the workshop will be provided.

Christmas tree lighting in Palanga
On 6 December, Palanga will see the Christmas tree - the highlight of the winter holidays. The festivities in Palanga are inspired by the work of Mikolaj Konstantinas Čiurlionis, and the Christmas tree lighting will reflect this theme. Light and video installations, dancing, music and entertainment will immerse you in a world of sea, forest and stars. We invite you to a cosy tree-lighting celebration "Of You, the Sea and the Stars", which will remind us of our relationship with nature, our fellow man and the mysteries of the cosmos.
The Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Palanga will take place on 6 December at 18:00 at the Palanga Kurhaus.
7 December
Christmas tree lighting in Sventoji
On 7 December, the anticipation of the holidays will begin in Šventoji - the Christmas tree will light up the pedestrian square. Singers, dancers, cheerful hosts and, of course, Santa Claus will create a joyful evening for both children and adults. The atmosphere of the evening will take you back to Čiurlionis' fairy tale: lights, festive decorations, music and dancing.
The Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Šventoji will take place on 7 December at 16:30 in the Šventoji pedestrian square.

Kindness Fair "More fun without shoes"
This year, the Palanga Youth and Volunteering Centre will host a Kindness Fair. There will be a variety of handmade products, an auction, free workshops, activities and a Christmas photo shoot. Throughout the week, participants will be able to try out virtual reality glasses, the art of card making, Christmas toy making, healthy snacks from the Palanga Public Health Office, photo shoots and other activities.
The fair will take place from 9-13 December, daily from 16:00 to 19:00, at Vytauto str. 106 , 2nd floor.

Making Christmas cards using monotype technique
We invite you to a special workshop in Palanga, dedicated to the production of Christmas cards in monotype technique. The afternoon is dedicated to expressing creativity and learning a new art technique, while creating personal, handmade greeting cards that will become a warm and original holiday greeting for your loved ones. Monotype is a unique printmaking technique that allows you to create a unique and unrepeatable print. This technique does not require any special artistic skills, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced creators.
In this class you will learn how to use colours, shapes and textures to make your cards unique! All the tools you need to make your cards will be provided.
Participation fee: children and seniors €3, adults €5. Pre-registration is not required.

Christmas decorations workshop
Get in the festive mood and create unique Christmas decorations for your home or gifts for loved ones. On 12 December, the Palanga Amber Museum will host a workshop where you will immerse yourself in the festive creative process, learn how to make festive decorations and have fun in a friendly atmosphere. All the tools needed to make cards will be provided.
Participation fee: children and seniors €3, adults €5. Pre-registration is not required.

Advent workshop for families "We create our own miracles"
Casting honey-scented candles with Sigute Bendikiene. For two consecutive days in December, families with children from the age of six years and up can enjoy a wax candle-making workshop at the Jonas Šliūpas Museum in Palanga. Together with local historian Sigute Bendikiene, we invite you to learn about the traditions of candle making and make your own scented candle, which will fill your home with cosy light and the smell of honey on Christmas Eve.

Concert "Christmas Classics" with Kristina Zmailaite and Edmunds Seilis
On the evening of 16 December, the Palanga Public Library will host a very cosy evening of music with famous Lithuanian opera singers Kristina Zmailaite and Edmundas Seilis. The professional duo of an opera soloist and a tenor will give you the opportunity to pause, feel the Christmas spirit and enjoy the sounds of live music. We invite you to welcome the most beautiful holiday of the year with "Christmas Classics"!

The musical "Paris Cathedral"

Musical evening "Winter Meetings"
As December draws to a close, the Kurhaus Hall will be filled with Christmas cheer. For the third year in a row, the vocal ensemble "Eldija" invites you to the cosy and festive "Winter Meetings". This year Eldija has invited vocal ensembles Guboja, Vowel, Agluona and a mixed vocal ensemble from Kretinga. The groups have prepared a programme of songs for Christmas, which they will perform individually, together and with the help of the audience to create a special festive musical evening. The evening will include Christmas songs, ginger tea and cinnamon biscuits.

Educational performance for the whole family "A Christmas Tale"
Bring your family and let's create a performance together! An education for the whole family, during which we will create the plot of a fairy tale, embody the characters, set up the scenery, and play various instruments to soundtrack the performances we have created ourselves. A complete unleashing of creativity, which will undoubtedly provide a good laugh.

The absurdist comedy "1410. The Hour Before the Battle"
Re-creating the last hour before the Battle of Žalgiris with the best Lithuanian comedians - historical absurd comedy "1410. The Hour Before the Battle". It is a spectacular scenography, a memorable stage work of a genre that is extremely rare in Lithuania. A historical absurdist comedy about two soldiers who, an hour before the fateful Battle of Žalgiris, realise that they don't want to go to it.

Theatrical concert "Baroque Paintings"
The theatrical concert "Baroque Pictures" is a fun, light, polished theatrical concert, redolent of French perfume and luxury. Very stylish and luxurious costumes, French poufs adorning the head, strict rules of etiquette - a typical picture of the mannered Baroque. The play is about the endless vicissitudes of love and the eternal misunderstanding between parents and children. The action on stage is accompanied by a light musical play on themes and melodies from various instrumental pieces from operas, operettas, musicals, films and pop music.
An evening of music will be held 21 December, 6 pm, Palanga Kurhaus Concert Hall (at Grafų Tiškevičių al. 1).

Outdoor education "Christmas table for animals"
Not only fun, engaging, but also informative education for children and their parents. Just before the holidays, herbalist Danutė Kunčienė invites you to go on an excursion to the park and woodland areas. Why go on a woodland tour in winter? To introduce children to the animals and birds that hibernate, to look for footprints together, to play and guess who is running along the park paths. The meeting will culminate in a Christmas table for the forest inhabitants.
Children and their parents are welcome to join us on an exciting journey with nature 22 December, 11 am, from the Birutė Park rotunda.

"Palanga Orchestra concert "Christmas Music Hour"
"The Palanga Orchestra and their concert in the Palanga church during the major festivals of the year have already become a festive tradition in Palanga. Having started holding these concerts more than two decades ago, the Palangos Orkestras brings the audience together every year for fellowship, gratitude and a gentle time together. This year's Christmas Music Hour will feature works by Antonin Dvorak, James Curnow, Leroy Anderson, Mykola Leontovych, Douglas E. Wagner, Lars Erik Gudim, Adolphe Adam and Thomas Doss.
The concert is free.

Musical programme with a comedy flavour "MEN FROM MARS, WOMEN FROM VENERA"
"Men from Mars, Women from Venus is a live concert combining music and comedy. The performance will reveal dialogues, monologues and discussions between men and women from different planets - Mars and Venus. There will also be plenty of interaction with the audience, with engaging situations, competitions and even interactive improvisations. The concert, which is being prepared with a special set and lighting design, will be full of laughter, sentiments and, of course, beautiful music. The audience's favourite duo Lina Rastokaitė and Jokūbas Bareikis will explore with a smile the differences between men and women, their relationships and the various, often comical, situations.

Concert "Velniškas greitis - 20 years" by the group "Šeškės"
A concert featuring songs that many know by heart: "I Live", "Supermergaitės", "Let's Fly", "Velniškas greitis", "Symphony of Love", and the recently released and already superhit "I Please" - songs that need no introduction to their fans. The arena show "SIX. WELNIŠKAS SPEED - 20 YEARS" will give the superhits power, space and sparkling colours. Just before the New Year, it's a chance to relax and spend a fun evening with friends.
