When you arrive here, you will start your visit by learning about the origins of this seaside settlement: the 9th century trading settlement at the foot of Birutė Hill, the life and exploits of the Vikings, the life and business of fishermen. Then you will learn more about the Tiškevičius counts and their contribution to the creation of the resort of Palanga. The third sun of the museum takes you back to the 19th century, where you will see the beach fashions and culture of the time. The fourth hall of the Palanga Centenary illustrates the events of the 1918-2018 period, when the seaside stretch of Palanga and the Šventoji seaside was returned to Lithuania by Latvia in 1921, the most important dates of the inter-war period, the Soviet era and the present-day Palanga.
